About Us... OKUM
OKUM is brought to you by Discovery Net Solutions, a software services partnership situated in Birmingham, Coventry and Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. We (at Discovery) are proud that we have been providing bespoke software solutions for a wide variety of businesses since 1990, that's a whopping 30+ years!
We specialise in the provision of low cost software with simplicity of use combined with an excellence in training resulting in productivity boosting solutions.
The beginnings of OKUM...
A Caravan and Motorhome Parts company were struggling with processing orders from both their counter service and online sales, they were using OpenCart for the online orders and Kashflow for their accounting system (to comply with Make Tax Digital). Because of the lack of data connectivity between OpenCart and Kashflow, they found themselves manually printing their OpenCart orders which then had to be manually re-booked as an Invoice to Kashflow. Additionally, they then used Kashflow to print a packing note whenever the order itself was being couriered to a third party name and address (i.e. not the card payment address).
This client asked us for help... our OKUM product was the result.

Our Products and Services Portfolio
Discovery Net Solution's product portfolio includes solutions for Fresh Product Wholesaling, Retailing, Point of Sale and now financial integration (with OKUM). In addition to software development, we also provide I.T Support services to our clients that include Desktop Remote Assistance, Web Hosting, SSL Certificates and Email hosting.
Historically, Discovery began its existence as a hardware company in 1990, selling its own on-site manufactured Point Of Sale Computers to supermarket retailers across the UK. We diversified into Wholesaling and Retailing software in the 1990's and ceased hardware manufacturing in the new Millenium.
